Phone: (93) 377-202 Mayor: József Berke Population: 461 Characteristics: Records dating from 1296 mention the area, but Liszó as a village is first mentioned in 1342. In the first decades of the 20th century, the population approached 1000. When Liszó was attached to Zala county in 1947, 838 people lived here. From then on, the population declined. Today, there is a slight increase. The number of unemployed is 30. Throughout history, the main source of income has been agriculture. The villages of Liszó and Miklósfa have a common agricultural cooperative, which works successfully. Pine trees, sold as Christmas trees, also bring a lot of money to the village. The municipality plan to build a sewerage, sidewalks, and update roads. The village has two fine churches and a bridge over the Liszó creek.
